Little Birdie’s Florist Shop

Hi dear friends,

My name is Hilda Skerk and I’m delighted to be guest designing for little Birdie Craft. I live in Barcelona, the city of modernism.

I work full time as a crafter. I love to altered all kind of objects, and more than anything create my own supports.

This time I’m bringing you a miniature florist shop that i designed it on silhouette cameo and decorated it with the beautiful mini succulents and flowers.

First I added white gesso for priming. After that I painted it with Matt Acrylic Rainy Day, for an aged look i distressed all the surface.

For the inner wall I used  texture brew paper. I decorate the shelves with Little Birdie succulent flowers, love them you can use them in any kind of style, steampunk, shabby, grunge. And i added some other flowers. I design the poster with vinyl letters.

Vintage cards with a pop of colours!

Hello friends!

This is Anila!

I am on the blog today, sharing a couple of Vintage cards with a pop of colours!

I am using the Vintage Reflections paper pack for my cards here!

I took a 6″x6″ white card base and a smaller white panel. I began by cutting a paper from the pack into smaller pieces. Distressed the edges.

Adhered, the pattern papers to the white cards. Mounted/layered the smaller matted piece on the base using foam adhesive.

I collected some embellishments like flowers, die-cut leaves using Birdcage thin cut die, a stamped sentiment, cheesecloth, sisal fibre and a die-cut doily using Ornate doily die

I made one more card on the similar lines. This time I layered a rectangle over the Square card base. Matted and mounted it the same way.

Embellished using similar elements, only replaced the doily with a strip of punched border.

I kept both the cards simple with the centered focal elements. Lastly, added a few matching sequins to complete the card.

Altered Journal Cover

Hi! Back again with an altered Journal cover using LB Flowers and Sprays! In this post I wanted to talk about the flowers!

Little Birdie makes absolutely wonderful flowers in all shapes,sizes and colors. But what I love most are the white ones! they take the color splash sprays so beautifully! I can drench them in color and water and these flowers just hold up great! I very much recommend these! Now on to this very simple journal cover!

I started off with the flower Stencil applying it to the LB Journal. I used the 2-1 mixed media paste. Taking the (Grape Crush) Color splash and adding a few spritz to the gesso to give it a light tint.

Next I used LB Gel to adhere my embellishments and flowers. I gave everything except the flowers a coat of clear gesso.

Here I add my Color Splash sprays in (Grape Crush) (Ocean Mist) (Hot Pink) (Lime Splash)  and I take the nozzle out of the (Tangerine) and run it along the edges.

After everything is completely dry, I dry bush the elements to bring out all the texture! I added some gems quotes and glitter to finish it off! Hope you all enjoy it!
