Mixed Media Spring Canvas

Hi friends!

Silvia here today to share a canvas made with mixed media techniques for which I will show you the step by step process. You will see how easy it is and what beautiful result can be created with these amazing materials and colors from Little Birdie Crafts.

I hope you like my project and I encourage you to make yours, using these beautiful techniques and materials.

Step 1

The first thing I did was, add textures to the canvas to create a background.

I used some fabric, lace, and other elements to give texture.

Step 2

I continued adding textures with some metallic elements, decorative crystals, and some light stone of various sizes.

Pasted everything with medium gel.

Step 3

When everything was dry, my next step was to cover everything very well with white gesso.

Step 4

Then I added the paintings that I integrated with each other with a spray with water.

Step 5

I painted these beautiful chipboard shapes with metallic paint to enhance them in the project.

Step 6

Finally, I created the entire composition with flowers, ephemera, chipboard, and pearls.

Mixed Media Birthday Card

Hi it’s Karolina here,

I’m happy to show you my next project with Little Birdie Crafts craft supplies. I made a cute mixed media birthday card. I wanted this card to be cheerful and happy so I chose the ‘Celebrate Life’ paper pack collection which is exactly what I needed . This paper collection is very bright and colorful, it has many elements for fussy cutting that are perfect to create a multilayered composition.

I made a step by step video tutorial so you can see how I made my card and that it is really easy when you have such a great supplies.

The Celebrate life collection is mostly pink so to add more colors to my project, I used Lemon Sparkle paste and I applied it through the stencil. It gave me a fun yellow color with a touch or sparkle.

To add more interest to my card I used white Grainy Texture Paste on top of the beautiful paper flowers.
