Frame Greeting Card

Hello friends! It’s Silvia here, with a new project that I want to share with you! On this occasion I have gone completely out of my comfort zone, and I have decorated this beautiful frame, which I wanted to dedicate to my little ones. They had their birthdays during this confinement, so it has not been possible to celebrate the occasions, but I have made this beautiful birthday frame card, so they never stop dreaming. I used Caribbean Teal metallic paint to paint the frame, cut-out elements from the Boho-dreams collection, with which I made a beautiful 3D montage, layer by layer. In the background I used papers from the Birds & Berries collection, chipboard and finally of course the wonderful Little Birdie flowers, which I like so much. I hope you like it and I wish you a nice day!

Altered Art – Cup and Saucer

Hi friends, Ruchi here!

How are you all doing?

The current situation has made me a bit restless but I continue with my creative work as it calms me down and makes this phase more bearable. A big thanks to all who visit the page in these times.

Today I am going to share something which I made with a cup that slipped out of my hand and broke. Why waste anything? So, I decided to play around with it and make something gorgeous.

PROJECT : ALTERED CUP AND SAUCER

Step by step tutorial:

Step 1: The first step was to gather a saucer which was a bit chipped off and not in use along with my broken cup. I sanded the rough edges of the cup and made it nice and smooth so it could sit comfortably on the saucer. I wanted loads of texture and decided to use the sculpture paste. To give a crackled effect, I first applied a coat of crackle medium and then the sculpture paste.

Step 2 :Next I wanted to add more texture elements, so I picked up some lace and glass beads. I have used modelling paste to adhere the cup to the saucer and gel medium to adhere the lace.

Step 3 : Now It was time to decide the colors. First I gave the whole project a coat of white gesso and then picked up some chalk paints. To add depth, I used some alcohol sprays and Color splash colors. Finally, I did some dry brushing with white gesso.

Step 4 :Now It was time to decorate this project. I chose a beautiful chipboard and placed it on the project to begin with. Also added some glitter and microbeads along with flowers. I used white flowers as I wanted to color them with Color Splash (Tangerine) .

Mixed Media Maxi-tag

¡Hola amigos!

Hello friends! It’s Silvia here with a new project that I want to share with you! Summer is approaching and of course this does not evoke marine airs! So today I have for you this maxi-tag, which I made using mixed media techniques and elements from the Little Birdie paper collection “Songs of the Sea”. Needless to say and all those of you who know me know that, simply because of its colors, I fell madly in love with this. I leave you with the step by step of how I did it and I wish you a nice day!

The first thing I did was to apply a layer of white gesso to the surface of the tag and to the rudder, giving the latter a bit of texture. Then I painted the rudder with Color Splash “Gold Rush”. Then with fiber paste, I have added textures to the tag, imitating some waves to start getting the background, which I painted later. To paint it I made a pantone of the same color as the collection and made the background, which I wanted to make it look like a seabed. Finally I made a composition with several cutouts from the collection, flowers, and some decorative elements, such as iron work, pearls, chiffon fabric, and to add naturalness to the project, I added some seashells and some moss.

Espero que os sirva de inspiración para vuestros propios proyectos, nos vemos de nuevo pronto¡¡ bye bye

Hope it inspires you for your own projects, see you again soon! bye bye¡¡
