Peace to You

Hello Little Birdie fans, thanks so much for stopping by.  We are ringing in October already and definitely time to get started on handmade Christmas cards.  My husband always says that Christmas is like a train coming towards a platform, it gets closer and closer and then suddenly it is here and we are left wondering where did the time go!?  Join me and get some Christmas cards done that look fabulous using Little Birdie Crafts. There are so many choices available and sometimes the hardest part is choosing what to use.

I challenged myself to use both Christmas products and generic,  that I had on hand  – there is no end to the possibilities!

Sponge a die cut piece of Texture Brew printed paper using Tinted Metallic Paint – Carribbean Teal.

NOTE:  Make sure to use a mat under the patterned paper to avoid getting paint on your workspace.

Turn the Burlap Strip over and glue the plain side to the inside of the die cut patterned paper using Papercrafting Glue. Adhere the card front to a pre-made card base measuring 17cm x 12cm.

NOTE:  If you do not have plain Burlap – use the back of any patterned paper, it will not show through!

Glue the Hearty Circle Chipboard onto the top portion of the burlap strip.

NOTE: The Chipboard can be painted if you are wanting more depth.

Pop up the sentiment onto foam tape and pop across the lower portion of the Heart Circle Chipboard.  Adhere the flowers below the Hearty Circle Chipboard using Papercrafting Glue.

NOTE:  Use Foam Tape on the portion of the sentiment that is inside the Heart Circle.

Glue the large Poinsettia to the bottom left corner of the burlap panel first, followed by a Valarie Arctic Ice on either side.  Next glue a small poinsettia on either side the the flowers.

NOTE: Adding the flowers with the sizes decreasing creates a flourish style arrangement on the card front and frames the sentiment.

I have finished the card with a hand made Cherub embellishment adhered to the left of the sentiment.
