It’s Tracey here to share my first project in 2021. Our sweet little granddaughter is turning 4 next month, so I created this shabby mixed media card for her featuring the Celebrate Life collection. These images are ideal to celebrate with the banner and cupcake designs, and isn’t the Ornate Number 4 chipboard piece simply perfect for this card? Tips and Techniques
I used the following gorgeous Little Birdie Flowers for this sweet floral cluster: Celebrate Life: Gianna; Kimberley; Wendy; Marisa; Sparkle Florettes; Shabby Chic: Queenie; Micro Roses; Agnes.
The flowers have been dry brushed with white gesso before adhering.
This Ornate Number 4 is so perfect for a girl’s birthday card! It is painted with Little Birdie Shimmer Sherbet Tinted Metallic Paint.
This little bee charm and bow winding around the cluster add a bit of whimsy.
I’ve tucked in several images from the Celebrate Life Ephemera Pack. Isn’t the glitter gorgeous, and what little girl wouldn’t adore a cupcake on her birthday card?
Here’s a view of the sentiment stamped on vellum and the top of the cluster with these amazing flowers. You can see the dry brushing on the background and flowers here.
I adore the texture achieved by adding bits around the edges of the flowers. Here I have pearls, micro beads, and craft pellets. the white charm is a jewelry piece from my stash that I altered with gesso and a touch of Shimmery Sherbet paint.
