Steampunk Canvas

Hello everyone Hilda here.

Today I want to show you another tutorial of a steampunk canvas.

Here’s the process….

STEP 1

I choose a 15×15 cm canvas, that I covered with cheesecloth and stuck it with soft gel medium.

STEP 2

Intermediately added Texture sand and some Stone Texture Paste randomly to give it a gritty texture and more volume .

STEP 3

Once dry, I covered the canvas and the central composition with black gesso.

STEP 4

Then I chose the rest of the elements, chipboard shapes, resin embellishments and wood gears. Once satisfied with the composition of the elements, I stuck them with soft gel medium.

STEP 5

I covered them again with black gesso.

STEP 6

Once dry, I added color with Tinted Metallic Paint – Tawny Glint. I applied it with a dry brush. Then, I added more colors with blue, gold and green metallic wax and sprayed some Color Splash, Blackcurrant and Turquoise.

And here is the result.

Greeting Cards with Fairy Sparkle

Hello again creative friends,

Ezme here with you today! This month we have so many family birthday celebrations, I decided to make some quick and easy greeting cards. I like the DL size. It looks very elegant and I always have DL envelopes in my drawer. I also quite like the feminine Fairy Sparkle paper collection for the cards as it is mostly females celebrating birthdays this month.

I used white card-stock for the base of the cards. I cut it them 19.8cm x 21cm and scored the on 9.9cm leaving me with a 9.9cm x 21cm card. Perfect to fit into a DSL envelope. I also cut 3 pieces from the purple paper as a matte. (9.3 cm x 20.5cm) and 3 pieces with some flower detail measuring 8.8cm x 19.9cm.

The chipboard frames and title was coloured with the Antique Gold wax.

I painted other two titles with some white Gesso.

Every card is different. I arranged the gold frames and titles and embellished with cheesecloth and flowers. I splattered the white areas with gold paint. (Golden Glaze Tinted Metallic Paint)

The titles looked a bit bland so I added a little natural Mica powder for some sparkle.

Someone Special – Scrapbook Layout

Hi there Creatives,

I’m back again on the Little birdie Blog with a single page layout. I love creating layouts and this photograph of a friend’s daughter is so cute, it just needed to be scrapbooked!

I fussy cut some elements from the Aqua Medley paper pack. I love the roses and butterflies.

Golden Plum Tinted Metallic Paint is one of my favourites among Little Birdie products. I used that to paint the chipboard frame.

For the background I used white cardstock and patterned paper from the Amor Mio collection. I tore a strip and adhered it to the white cardstock. I stenciled a few leaves randomly with Mulberry Glaze Sparkle Paste and splattered with Blackcurrant Colour Splash and Golden Plum Tinted Metallic Paint.

I adhered a piece of cheesecloth and placed the frame over it, but a little off the centre. Then I tucked in the fussy cut flowers and some die cut leaves behind the frame.
