Hi everyone! Tamara here with a fun upgrade to some little wooden storage drawers, using just a few Little Birdie supplies.

I started by applying a base coat of white gesso and then a layer of the One Step Crackle Medium to my drawers. Then I topped it off with a layer of the pretty light blue chalk paint from the Muted collection.
Once I had my base in place it was time to start adding details. I sanded down the edges and added some taupe paint and then pulled out my large floral stencils.

I think it’s fun to use different parts of the stencil, let them wrap around the edges, and to mix and match the designs. I used a sponge brush and the light pink chalk paint to create the base of the flowers. To add a more personal touch I layered on the darker pink using a dry brush technique with a small paint brush to add depth and texture and create more of a handpainted look.

The box needed some little feet so I used my hot glue gun to add some wooden beads to the bottom and then some crochet lace for drawer pulls.

I love how it turned out, and now I have a place to store my Little Birdie handmade flowers!

I hope that gives you some fun ideas for using your stencils in a new way. Little Birdie has so many pretty stencils to choose from!
