Stenciled Storage Drawers

Hi everyone! Tamara here with a fun upgrade to some little wooden storage drawers, using just a few Little Birdie supplies.

I started by applying a base coat of white gesso and then a layer of the One Step Crackle Medium to my drawers. Then I topped it off with a layer of the pretty light blue chalk paint from the Muted collection.

Once I had my base in place it was time to start adding details. I sanded down the edges and added some taupe paint and then pulled out my large floral stencils.

I think it’s fun to use different parts of the stencil, let them wrap around the edges, and to mix and match the designs. I used a sponge brush and the light pink chalk paint to create the base of the flowers. To add a more personal touch I layered on the darker pink using a dry brush technique with a small paint brush to add depth and texture and create more of a handpainted look.

The box needed some little feet so I used my hot glue gun to add some wooden beads to the bottom and then some crochet lace for drawer pulls.

I love how it turned out, and now I have a place to store my Little Birdie handmade flowers!

I hope that gives you some fun ideas for using your stencils in a new way. Little Birdie has so many pretty stencils to choose from!

Here are the products I used:

white gesso
One Step Crackle Medium
Chalk Paint-Muted Collection
Chalk Paint-Vibrant Collection

Mixed Media Tray

Hi everyone😊 Asia Szczurowska Łapkodzieło here!

Today. I have prepared a work for you on a white background.

I covered the tray with white gesso and then applied the pattern through a stencil. I chose Little Birdie stone texture paste paste with large specks of grains to add some roughness to the project.

I mixed chalk paint with white gesso, to get a more delicate colour.

For the inside part, I used a different colour of paint but matching the outside of the project.

In the end I added wax – Silver Glitz.

Door card in Moroccan style

Hi friends! How is your spring going? A few more days – and a beautiful summer will come). I wanted to be at least virtually transported to a hot country. I made a card in the form of doors. It seems to me that these tiles are very similar to the Moroccan pattern.

It was based on paper from the “Aqua Medley” collection. Gold accents add luxury to the project

The paper is covered with a medium with a crackle effect

Gorgeous flowers from the set Heleen Aqua Medley Arcadia Aqua Medley Calypso Aqua Medley added completeness to the project

You can watch a step-by-step creation lesson on the channel

Hope you enjoy it). Take care of yourself and stay safe, friends!
