Mixed Media Canvas Layout -Celebrate Life

Hello crafty friends, I am back with another mixed media layout using Little Birdie “Celebrate Life” paper pack.
This paper pack is a beauty!

Starting my project with an art panel canvas of 8*8 inches .
First I made textures using Little Birdie entangled stencil.

I made a mixture of mixed media paste and multi-surface paint in a rosy pink shade. With the help of the stencil I obtained this beautiful texture.

Further, I have done some stamping randomly on the canvas using the ‘script’ stencil.

Then I used journaling cards/doily cuts/ ephemeras/ paper cut-outs from the “Celebrate Life” paper pack.

I also used some “Wild Spring” chipboards and applied Sparkle paste – Whipped Cream on it to make it look shiny.

Time for some beautiful Little Birdie flowers, I love vibrant colours of these ♥️
Later I made the required placements of doily cuts/ journaling card and paper cut-outs from the paper pack.

Further I did layering of ephemeras underneath my journaling card.
Flower placements done right!
Some pink flowers tugged under the little tags as they go well along with the Celebrate Life theme.
Later i gave final dark touches with the archival ink so that the middle main part of the project looks dense .
I have also added the white lace/Thin die-cuts and pink pearl drops -works as a cherry on top for this project.

In the end , I sprinkled some French Rose chalk paint and gave the layout a distressed effect on the edges of the canvas and somewhere between the flowers and tags to give a rustic look.
And we are done!! Sharing some detailed pictures of the entire layout.

I hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I did.

Thankyou🖤

Boho Skull Wall Decor

Hi Creative tribe- Today I am on the blog to share a boho skull wall decor.

I had an MDF skull and some chipboard pieces which I wanted to transform into a quirky boho wall decor. I started by giving it 2 coats of white gesso

I wanted to give a little dimension to the skull for which I have used Little Birdie’s Shape It epoxy compound. I covered portion of the head till the snout roughly and rolled rest of the clay into thin logs and spiraled it around the horns.

Once the clay was dry, I used a stencil from my stack and Mont Marte Modelling paste to give a lace pattern on the clay.

I let the modelling paste dry and then colored the skull in teal and brown. For this I used chalkpaints Sailing Sky and Choco Cookie. I didn’t cover the lace pattern completely and let the white peep through.

Next I wanted to color my chipboard embellishment pieces . I used Gold Alcohol Spalsh Frosted Pool, Black currant from Little Birdie and Raspberry distress ink from my stash.

I added some Pink and purple inks on the clay pattern to go with my embellishments.

I layered my chipboard pieces and adorned the skull with Little Birdie flowers, Wendy Love , Agnes Birds and Berries , Nancy Shabby Chic , Alvero Amor Mio , Coral Bouquet and some die cut leaves.

This is how my final project looks. I am in love with this boho skull and I hope you like it as much as I do.

Cheers

Mini Album Made From Scrap Paper

Hi friends! Today I, Inna Brigantina, want to share with you an option for using different scraps of paper.

Often after projects there are various pieces of paper that are a pity to throw away. I also sometimes get narrow long pieces of cardboard left over from large sheets

This time I had a 10cm wide strip. I creased it at a distance of 7.5 cm. I left allowances for the thickness of the album at 0.5 cm

I folded the punched strip of cardboard like an accordion.

I used the cards in the kit for the design Aqua Medley Collection

I made pockets of different designs from scraps of paper. I made the front and back sides.

Before making the cover, I measured the width of the spine. With a margin I had this 2.5 cm

For the cover, I curled a strip of cardboard at a distance of 7.5-2.5-8-2.5-6cm. Its width is 11cm.

I pasted the album block into the cover. I decorate the inner side using paper from the Aqua Medley Collection

I pasted over the outside, having previously installed the magnets. My mini scrapbook is almost done. It remains to decorate the cover.

I used Aqua Medley Ephemera Embellishment for decoration, as well as elements for cutting from a small set Aqua Medley Collection.

Little Birdie handmade flower – Marina Aqua Medley complements the cover perfectly.

See how I made it in a small video review.

I hope friends, my project has inspired you! I hug, Inna Brigantina
