Songs of the Sea – Easel Card with Coordinating Box Envelope

Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing another fun project! For this project I decided to create an easel card with a pocket inside. I love all things relating to the sea and this paper collection does not dissapoint!

Songs of the Sea Collection Printed Cardstock Pack 6X6
Songs of the Sea Collection Printed Cardstock Pack 12X12

Additional items used:
Kraft Cardstock
Navy Cardstock
Aqua Cardstock
Chipboard Starfish
Jute String
White Acrylic Paint for spatters

The easel card measures 5 1/2″X5 1/2″ and the base was created in kraft cardstock. The mattes are aqua and navy cardstock. For the cover I wrapped a piece of chipboard in the navy cardstock as a base for the cut apart from the 12X12 papers. I used chipboards from my stash and fussy cuts for the cover as well.

The jute tie slides down so the magnetic closure flap can open to reveal the beautiful easel card inside.

The crd stands on a strip of wrapped chipboard and a cut apart from the 6X6 papers.
When the card is fully open it reveals a pocket that can be used for inserts or gift cards.
The box envelope was also made in kraft cardstock. It measures 6″X6″ and is 1″ deep to create room for the dimensional card. All sides were decorated with the Songs of the Sea Papers.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Happy Crafting!!

Afterglow Shabby Layout

Hello Friends !
Hope you’re having a beautiful day! Today, I’m going to show you how to create this subtle layout.

First, I started out by selecting the Shabby Chic Bouquet paper pack by Little Birdie and selecting these two papers for my layout,

I used a pair of scissors to distress the first page and then layered it over the other page.

Next, I used this stencil from Little Birdie to give my layout some texture.

After that, I used some elements from Little Birdie’s decoupage sheets and blended them with my layout using decoupage glue.

After that, I used black gesso to add some splatter effects to the layout. I also used some chalk paints to add some colour depth and also stamped around the layout.

I fussy cut some elements from the Shabby Chic Bouquet paper pack that I planned to used on my layout.

I added my focal element and some pretty handmade flowers and layered everything together to bring my layout to life.

To balance my layout, I also added some layering to the top corner of my composition and added a few more elements to it.

And finally I’m done with my layout. I hope you all enjoyed my creation as much as I did creating it and I’ll see you soon with my next project.

Lots of love,
