Mixed Media Mason Jar Tags

Hello Crafty Friends! Chaitali here…
Do you like to recycle packaging materials? Do you like to use them as a base or create textures with them?
Today, I am sharing two layered tags using the packaging material of the handmade flowers by Little Birdie Crafts.  I have always adored the mason jar shaped packaging by Little Birdie Crafts for their flowers. So thought to use them as my tag base!
For this, I have used  the two beautiful paper collections,  Woodland Stories and Boho Dreams by Little Birdie Crafts along with their ephemera, handmade flowers and chipboard.

Firstly, I covered both the mason jar base with papers from the respective collections. Then, I coloured the white lace and chipboard. Next, I made few die cuts using the papers and did some fussy cutting of elements from both the collections .

Further, I decorated my tags using fussy cut elements, ephemera and handmade flowers along with lace, die cut elements, thread and beads.

Lastly, added the string, did some golden splatters on the tag and added a quote.

Purple Passion – Jewellery Box

Hello Crafty Friends…. Chaitali here!
Do you like to recycle empty boxes? Do you enjoy altering?
Today, I am sharing one such project. I have altered a chocolate box to a jewellery box using the very pretty Purple Passion Collection along with others supplies by Little Birdie Crafts.

Steps to create this:

Firstly,  I covered the top of the chocolate box with beautiful papers from Purple Passion cardstock 6 in x 6in along with handmade flowers Elira from the Birds and Berries collection. Also added some lace. I distressed the edges of each layer and raised the top layer using some cardboard pieces.

Next, I covered the sides of the box with papers from Purple Passion Cardstock by Little Birdie Crafts.

Then, I applied a coat of clear gesso on an empty ribbon spool. Later, I coloured it with Metallic Wax Berry Glaze and covered the top of it with paper from ‘Purple Passion’. Further, I created a shaker on it. Added a bird embellishment from Purple Passion Ephemera in the shaker along with microbeads Muted Orchid. I also filled the shaker with tiny stars and hearts.

Then, I heat embossed chipboards from Little Birdie Crafts using VersaMark Watermark stamp pad and Champagne embossing powder. https://littlebirdiecrafts.com/collections/chipboard/products/chipboard-oval-frame-1pc-pbci-little-birdie https://littlebirdiecrafts.com/collections/chipboard/products/chipboard-happy-together-6pc.

I cut off the oval chipboard in half and attached around the ribbon spool and the shaker.

Further, I fussy cut leaves and birds from the Purple Passion paper collection.

Next, I added the last layer of paper from Purple Passion. I tore one side with hands and distressed the other sides.

Finally, I added some more handmade flowers, fussy cut leaves and birds, emphera elements, and a word quote chipboard, ‘Happy Moments’ by Little Birdie Crafts to build the composition around the ribbon spool. Also, added two jute thread bows.
