Happy Moments – Scrapbook Layout

Hey there crafty friends! Welcome back to the Little Birdie blog!

I hope all is well in your part of the world. We have been in lockdown here in NSW, Australia for the past couple of months, so I guess you could say I’ve had a lot of crafting time lately!

And here is one of my creations, which I created for Little Birdie. I have done something very different with this layout, something I don’t think I have ever done before and stuck with light whites and greys only. I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out, and I think it has a vintage feel to it but I actually really love it and I hope you do too.

So to start this layout, I used a piece of grey checkered card stock from 49 and Market’s ‘Etheral’ collection. I then took a piece of light grey floral card stock from Kaisercraft’s ‘Cottage Rose’ collection and cut a border from it that I then attached onto my checkered card stock.

I then attached some lace trimming to the outside of the border I just stuck down and then also attached some on the inside of the border but only at the top and bottom.

I then used a Royal Damask style stencil for my background with white 3D textured modelling paste and while it was still wet I sprinkled some glitter over the top for some sparkle.

I used 4 cut out pieces from Kaisercraft’s ‘Greenhouse’ collectables and embossed the 2 shapes with some clear embossing powder for some shine.

I used some liquid pearls for the chipboard frame and also for the title.

I created a flower cluster beneath my images using some gorgeous flowers from Little Birdie and added some glitter accents to some of them for some sparkle.

Together Forever – Scrapbook Layout

Hey there crafty people! Welcome back to the Little Birdie blog.

Today I have a new DT layout, filled with beautiful Autumn colours. I hope you like it.

For this layout I have used the Autumnal Equinox card stock and elements collection from 3Quarter Designs.

I cut some burlap lace and placed it behind my photo – a piece vertically and a piece horizontally.

I arranged some cut out pieces from the collection as photo matting.

I embossed the chipboard borders, used Little Birdie sparkle paste on the chipboard flowers and used metallic paint on the title.

I attached some beautiful Little Birdie flowers, as well as some other unbranded ones in between.

To finish off, I used some glitter accents on some of the flowers and also sprinkled some gold bling over and around the layout.

Sweet Memories – Scrapbook Layout

Hey there crafty friends! Welcome back to the Little Birdie blog and thank you so much for stopping by. Melissa with you today, sharing a new layout filled with beautiful pinks and purples. I hope you like it.

For this layout I have used Little Birdie’s ‘Birds & Berries’ cardstock. I did some stenciling with white gesso for the background which I sprinkled with glitter while it was still wet to make it sparkle.

I fussy cut the ‘Birds & Berries’ ephemera and arranged them around my photo, along with a few of the cards from the collection which I layered up and used as my photo matting.

When attaching the ephemera, I used mounting tape on some of them for a bit of dimension.

I layered up and attached some matching coloured flowers around my photo and used some glitter paint on some of them for more sparkle.

To finish off, I tucked some wood wool in between the flowers and sprinkled some mixed media stones around the layout as well.
