DIY Watch Box

Hello Folks! This is Jinal Savla and I am back with a inspirational project for you. Hope all of you are staying safe.

By now, most of you may know that I am a mixed media artist. However at times, I take pleasure to decoupage objects. After a long thought, I decided why not create a tutorial of my best selling product. A watch box, that also doubles up as a jewellery box. To begin with, I took a Watch box.

Unscrew the hinges and then sand it with sandpaper or a sanding block. Make sure your surface is smooth.
Apply a thin coat of gesso (You can skip this step). Then, to achieve this gradient apply the lightest colour first. Here I started with Snow Acrylic Matte chalk paint followed by French Rose and finally Bubble Gum chalk paint. Make sure you merge them well.
Take any decoupage paper or tissue (I used rice-paper). Apply a thin layer of Little Birdie’s Deco Magic glossy decoupage glue on top of the box. Place the desired design of decoupage paper where you have applied glue and slowly dab with a dry sponge making sure there are no air bubbles left behind.
In this step, I have used Little Birdie Stencil. Applied little Birdie craft glue and then used reactive foil to achieve the shiny- golden effect.
finally distressed the edges it using Little Birdie pigment ink pad. To seal it, applied two coats of varnish.
Tada! There you go.. our watch box is ready!
I love how this gradient compliments the design…hope you guys like it too…

You can use this technique on any surface. Do try and share it with us on our FB page “Little Birdie Crafts CafĂ©”.

Never Stop Dreaming TN Folio

Hi everyone, Tamara here with a fun and easy little folio project, perfect for holding your Traveller’s Notebook style journals.

I used my favourite Little Birdie 12in X 12in paper pad and a few other products to get the perfect matching set.

I love the message of this paper pad, it’s perfect for any young lady who likes to keep a journal.

This fun folio has lots of pockets and it holds not one, but two traveller’s notebook style journals that can be taken out and used on their own.

I used my laminating machine on the notebook covers, the pockets, and some of the elements to add durability and shine. Watch the video below to see how pretty the single sided lamination technique really looks and how it easy it is to take the notebooks out and replace them!

I hope this inspires you to have fun and make a folio of your own. Here are the products I used:
Boho Dreams 12X12 paper pad
Handmade Flowers
Whimsical Garden Background stamp
