Boho Skull Wall Decor

Hi Creative tribe- Today I am on the blog to share a boho skull wall decor.

I had an MDF skull and some chipboard pieces which I wanted to transform into a quirky boho wall decor. I started by giving it 2 coats of white gesso

I wanted to give a little dimension to the skull for which I have used Little Birdie’s Shape It epoxy compound. I covered portion of the head till the snout roughly and rolled rest of the clay into thin logs and spiraled it around the horns.

Once the clay was dry, I used a stencil from my stack and Mont Marte Modelling paste to give a lace pattern on the clay.

I let the modelling paste dry and then colored the skull in teal and brown. For this I used chalkpaints Sailing Sky and Choco Cookie. I didn’t cover the lace pattern completely and let the white peep through.

Next I wanted to color my chipboard embellishment pieces . I used Gold Alcohol Spalsh Frosted Pool, Black currant from Little Birdie and Raspberry distress ink from my stash.

I added some Pink and purple inks on the clay pattern to go with my embellishments.

I layered my chipboard pieces and adorned the skull with Little Birdie flowers, Wendy Love , Agnes Birds and Berries , Nancy Shabby Chic , Alvero Amor Mio , Coral Bouquet and some die cut leaves.

This is how my final project looks. I am in love with this boho skull and I hope you like it as much as I do.

Cheers
