Steampunk Art Journal Pages

Hi, Little Birdie Crafts Friends! How are you today?

I have been enjoying using my new ring bound planner since my last project and so I tried to do a little steampunk themed spread next.

I love working with different mediums to create my spreads. So I was really happy to have everything I need to use in just one store! Little Birdie was able to let me shop so conveniently!

I used a mix of gold, bronze, yellow, white and peach for my design here and I used a black card stock as my base to channel more of that steampunk look.

My planner is an A6 size one so I only used a single chipboard piece from Little Birdie Crafts that I cut-up portions of and strategically placed around my pages.

Then I simply added in flowers and some pearls to decorate. I like my planners and journals chunky so most of my projects have bulk and dimension to the designs.

Scrap Layout – A Grateful Heart

Hello crafty friends,

I have made a new layout for you, I have used the chipboard ‘family’ and painted it with acrylic paint. Next, I added some stamps and the glitter paste.

For the background I have used the letter wijze paper and added the same color paint. Then with ink I added the stencil. I am really in love with the stencil!

Then I made a little cluster with the flowers and added my photo!

I love how cute it all came together.

I wish you happy crafting

love Suzanne

Hard Cover Journal with Soft Touches

I love making and using soft cover journals, but I also love the durability of a hard cover. So for today’s project, I’m bringing them together to make a hard cover laminated journal with lots of fabric touches to give it a soft cover feel!

I used some pretty papers from the Boho Dreams collection and the Lime Colour Splash to make some perfectly matching cotton lace for the closure.

I laminated two of the papers to make a cover for a Traveller’s Notebook style journal where I could add some inserts from my own stash that seemed to match perfectly!

It was all so easy that I even added a cute little matching bookmark.

I sprayed some plain ivory cotton lace with the Lime colour splash to get the perfect green (I think it’s my favourite part of the whole journal!) and added some rhinestones for a little sparkle and shine.

If you want to see how quick and easy it is to make this fun project, check out the video below for step by step instructions.
