Motivational Cards

Hello Little Birdie Craft Friends! I hope you are all doing well.

Today I’m sharing with you my process on how I created these motivational cards using Little Birdie Crafts ‘Boho Dreams’ collection.

  • Step 1 – Cut up 1 piece of 12×12 Boho Dreams cardstock at 4″x3″. You’ll only need 4 pieces of these cut out pieces for this project but you can create more if you like.
  • Step 2 – Use the Floral Pattern stencil and some modeling paste to create some textured pattern.
  • Step 3 – Fill up all 4 pieces like so and wait for this to dry
  • Step 4 – Once dry, tear up some tulle fabric and glue it at the center of the paper.
  • Step 5 – Place large flowers at the center and add in smaller flowers around it for added detail.
  • Step 6 – Add statement pieces that motivate or inspire.

Optional: You can stop here or add in some light pink and some metallic paint onto the background and splatter on some color.

And you are done! You can give these out as gifts to friends and family who need a little encouragement and positivity thrown their way.

Live Life To The Fullest -Scrapbook Layout

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the Little Birdie blog. Melissa here with you today, sharing my new colourful DT layout. I hope you like it.

For this layout, I have used card stock from 3Quarter Designs which matched this design perfectly. I did some stenciling on the background using Little Birdie’s embossing texture paste, which turned out beautifully.

I arranged and attached some die cut elements from the ‘Shabby Chic Bouquet’ around my photo.

I cut the window chipboard in half and coloured it with some Lemon Zest sparkle paste. I cut the bricks chipboard up as well and coloured it with Silver Sage sparkle paste.

I attached some colourful flowers around my photo and added some die cut elements at the top of the layout.

To finish off, I added some glitter to the flowers for some sparkle.

Thank you for looking, I hope you liked my latest layout and be sure to come back soon for some more crafty inspiration. Until then…happy crafting!

Mel x

Butterfly Greetings – Mixed Media Card

Hello fellow crafters!

I hope everybody here is safe and sound.
I am Gunjan back with another pretty project.

This time, my inspiration is the Little Birdie butterfly handmade embellishment 🦋 So I created a mini butterfly greeting and also a box for it using all Little Birdie products. So let’s get started!
I have used the ‘Fairy Sparkle’ 6in * 6in printed cardstock and ephemeras from the same collection.
Also glitter cardstock bright and some beautiful handmade butterflies.
Later comes the stencils, chalk paints, mixed media paste, and my favourite clear stamps !
I obtained different sizes of butterfly cut-outs from the Fairy Sparkle cardstock and glitter cardstock.
I stitched them all together in the middle so that I could flip through them easily.
Further with the help of mixed media paste, I obtained these 3-D textures of stars and leaves using Little Birdie’s stencils.
Later, applied light and dark shades of blue chalk paints over the textures which goes well with the blue theme .
Further, I made some small greeting messages using my absolute favourite clear stamps and pasted ephemeras from the same collection inside the pages of the butterfly greeting .
I attached Little Birdie’s pretty blue lace on the top .
Also some handmade flowers making the butterfly more beautiful 🦋
Here comes the box !
Again, with the help of mixed media paste and stencils I obtained the 3-D quote and later applied chalk paints over it .
I made a box using the printed cardstock from the same collection to keep my butterfly greeting inside it .
This is how it looks when done !
I applied chalk paints on the edges of the box too!
Topped it up with the butterfly embellishment and ephemera.
Here is a closer look of my project.
In the end I splattered chalk paints over my entire project.

I Hope you guys enjoyed my butterfly greeting and the box ❤️
