Journal Folio

Hello, Little Birdie lovers,

Today on the blog you are with Neena Arora. I am here to share a journal book I created with Little Birdie ‘Woodland Stories’ collection.

I had a mobile case cover since long that was more like a note book. That gave me an idea of using it as a journal folio.

Step by Step process: The size of this case is 7 1/2″ x 5 1/2″

First cover the case with craft card stock. Next, score a piece of 7″ long cardstock at equal intervals of 1/4″ for four pages. Now, give a fan fold to make the hinge. Next, join the 7″ x 5″ cardstock to each hinge.

Next, add some extension to the pages. Paste the pattern paper on the cover and alternately on cardstock pages.

Apply some crackle paste through stencil on the rest of the cardstock page. Next, create a small composition tear paper and paste it. Add a journal tag, banner and ephemeras.

Prime the frame chipboard and sentiment with gesso and sprinkle the glitter for shine. Add ribbon first around the folio for closing the folio. Now paste the doily and frame in the center and create a small composition around the frame with flowers, leaves, buds, twines and fussy cuts and add the sentiment. Dry gesso the flowers.

To finish, adorn the composition with pearls, glitter and sequins.
