Hello dear Little Birdie Crafts fans!! It’s Tracey here to share a special Christmas project with you. The Little Birdie online store is stocked with loads of amazing Christmas products for all of your holiday crafting. I have created three very different projects for you. Today I’m sharing this festive “Joy to the World” Christmas card featuring gorgeous Little Birdie handmade flowers, ribbon, and a variety of cardstock and glittered stickers. I’ve also used beautiful Little Birdie paper from the Shabby Chic Bouquet Collection as well as their fabulous mixed media supplies.
Here’s the photo tutorial I’ve created sharing all the details on how I put this card together. Enjoy!
Photo Tutorial:
Step 1:
Cut the focal paper from the beautiful Shabby Chic Bouquet Collection to 4.75 by 6.75″.
Cut cardstock in a coordinating color to 5 by 7″.
Step 2:
Brush the focal paper with Little Birdie Clear Gesso. This helps reduce warping when applying wet mediums like Mixed Media Paste.
Step 3:
Distress the edges of the paper with a distressing tool or the edge of your scissors blade for a lovely shabby feel.
You can see some of the snowy stenciling here as well as one of the fabulous Glitter Snowflakes.
Step 4:
Apply Little Birdie Mixed Media Paste through the blotchy stencil for a snowy effect and set aside to dry.
Step 5:
Once the background is dry, wrap the Tartan Ribbon around the center of the card and adhere.
The Joy to the World sentiment from the Jingle Bell Wishes Sticker set fit perfectly onto the ribbon!
Step 6:
Arrange the flowers and other elements to the card and adhere.
Step 7:
Adhere the focal paper to the cardstock, then onto a card base. It’s so easy to create a gorgeous Christmas card with the supplies found in the Little Birdie Online Store!
