DIY Father’s Day Gift -Monogram for Dad

Hi Friends, Anushree here,

I am so excited to share this lovely gift idea which we can make for our superheroes, our Dads. It’s a Monogram and can be made with any alphabet. I have tried this with Alphabet A, my Dad’s name is Anil.

Here’s my monogram

Isn’t it nice? I totally loved making this one. Here’s how I made it. I started with a Little Birdie MDF alphabet A and applied two coats of white Gesso on the whole surface.

After applying Gesso, I have stenciled gilding paste on some portions.

Next, I applied Gilding Flakes on the stenciled portion after drying the Gilding paste for 30 minutes. After brushing off the excess flakes with a dry brush, I inked the whole surface in brown pigment ink.

Next, I adhered some Golden Microbeads with Heavy gel on some portions of the monogram.

I have used ‘The Classic Gentleman’ paper pack and hand tore ‘Mister Perfect’ sheet. I adhered it as seen along with some handmade flowers from Little Birdie collection.

Lastly I also adhered a cute metal charm to complete my project.

Hope you enjoyed it and inspired to try one on your own.

DIY Gift Tag; Gift Wrapping Paper

Hi Creative friends, Anushree here!

Today I want to share a beautiful Gift tag along with a lovely gift wrapping paper. I enjoyed making both of them. Isn’t it just awesome to create your own pattern paper and use it for gift wrapping.

Here are some pictures of both and later I will also share how I made them.

I have used Little Birdie Crafts ‘Florence’ stamp set and its coordinating die set to create them. I combined them with various other Little Birdie Crafts products to give a completed look.

Here are some pictures of the process

I started stamping the flowers on Classic White cardstock with Archival Ink. Then I coloured them using various colour pigment inks from Little Birdie Crafts.

After the colouring was done, I die cut all the flowers using the coordinating dies. Next I used the primed chipboards and applied white Chalk paint on them.

I used some Golden glitter with Heavy Gel on both the chipboards after that.

Then I applied some sparkle paste on the sentiment chipboard. Next, I arranged everything on a white cardstock.

To create a customized gift wrapping paper, I simply stamped the same flowers using Little Birdie Pigment inks. It was super easy creating a pattern paper of my own on a brown paper.

I wrapped my gift using ribbons and gift tag looked awesome along with the coordinating wrapping paper.

Hope you enjoyed both of them and learnt something new and fun today.
