Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing a fun 8X8 inch wall hanging and a card to match! This set was designed as a gift to give to someone special. Using the ‘Woodland Stories’ papers along with bright beautiful Little Birdie handmade flowers is sure to brighten anyone’s day!
The canvas was covered in a ‘wood-look’ paper, then a sheet of the 6″X6″ in blue. I added some bits of crackle paste in white and some splatters of coordinating colored acrylic paints. (yellow, white, teal). Fussy cuts from the 12″X12″ papers and flowers were layered at different levels to create dimension
The card measures 5″X7″ and was created with an ivory card base and papers from both the 12″X12″ and 6″X6″ Woodland Stories paper packs.
Here are some close-up images at the canvas and those beautiful handmade flowers!
Hello everyone! My name is Jenn DuBell and I am very excited today to share my very first project as a member of the Little Birdie Design Team! For this project, I have made two oversized tags using the beautiful “Shabby Chic Bouquet” papers and flowers along with some chipboard and other bits from my stash.
Here is how I created my tags: First, I covered two large tags with a woodgrain decorative paper. Distressed the edges and and then inked them. Prepped the background by applying a layer of clear gesso. Next, I used a stencil to add a pattern to my background with Texture Paste.
Next added inks and sprays to the dry texture paste with water and moved to allow the colors to flow. Dried it with a heat tool.
Next, added some stamping in black ink using various texture stamps.
When creating with fussy cuts and other bits I like to lay them all out on my tag first and move them around until I get the composition I want. Once I have it, I begin adding the pieces with adhesive and foam squares to create depth and texture.
I added a second even larger black tag under them as contrast. I used a white ink pen to make a stitched doodle around the edge of each black tag.
