Shabby Chic Decor

Do you love Shabby Chic? I love shabby, vintage and grungy! If you’re like me, you are going to love all the details of this piece. Little Birdie Crafts has made it so easy for me to create this beautiful piece. The stunning flowers from Little Birdie Crafts makes this piece feel romantic, shabby and vintage.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Step 1:

Gather all materials needed.

Step 2:

Trim cardstock to 8″ X 10″ to cover wood panel, and adhere to panel.

Step 3:

Using the Little Birdie Cracked Stencil, stencil a few areas using Burnt Umber paint.

Step 4:

Trim cardboard to approximately 3 1/2″ X 5″. Roughly tear off front of cardboard. Paint Chipboard Mannequin, border using the color Buttermilk. Lightly add some Buttermilk paint to cardboard piece.

Step 5:

Distress ink Mannequin, border, cardboard. Distress ink edges of panel and cardstock. Using a bleander tool, blend some distress ink around the stenciled area to give the paper a more vintage feel. Trim a piece of burlap to approximately 5 1/2″ X 7″ and shred the sides a bit. Save those pieces for later. Lay out pieces to get a feel how to adhere them down.

Step 6:

Adhere burlap, layer the cardboard over the top and adhere down. Adhere mannequin on top of cardboard. Using the scraps from the burlap, fold in half and adhere under where the flowers will be placed. Adhere flowers and top border. Add phrase of choice.

You can hang this up or use it as a table top decor piece. I love the shabby, vintage feel this piece gives.

These Little Birdie Flowers are amazing! Just look at this Gorgeousness!

I hope you have enjoyed your time here with me. Please check back often to see more inspiration from other Design Team members!

Magical Fairy Dwellings

If you listen carefully, you’ll hear the musical laughter of tiny fairies coming from our Magical Fairy Dwellings. These enchanted abodes are a perfect decoration for a Woodland Fairy Party, and make a lovely garden or home decor accent. Be sure to use lots of glitter, that’s the secret to attracting fairies!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Step 1: Paint the exterior walls of each birdhouse as desired. We used DecoArt craft acrylics in Cotton Candy and Coral Blush.

Step 2: Add moss to the roof and sides of the houses in clusters, to make them resemble rustic woodland cottages. Add some of the Olivia Paper Crafting Medley flower and leaves, as well.

Step 3: We added lots of glitter to our design, to give it sparkle and attract fairies. We also perched a lovely feather butterfly on the roof.

Each magical fairy dwelling is completely unique, so have fun, and be creative! Add scraps of ribbon or gems that you might have in your craft stash. Anything special or sparkly will do.

These little woodland fairy homes are the perfect party decoration at our Woodland Fairy Party.  For more fun and charming party inspiration, don’t miss our Fairy Berry Favor Boxes and Enchanted Fairy Party Sign.
