Vacation – Scrapbook Layout

Hey there crafty people! Welcome back to the Little Birdie blog and thank you so much for stopping by.

Today I am sharing my last DT layout for Little Birdie as the term has now come to an end.

I thought I’d do a travel themed layout this time as I don’t seem to do too many of them, I hope you like it.

For this layout I have used cardstock and some elements from 3Quarter Designs ‘Bon Voyage’ collection.

I did a fair bit of mixed media for the background of this one. I did some stenciling using black ink and stenciling using white gesso, which I then sprinkled embossing powder over the top of while it was still wet.

I also did some stamping using black ink.

I heat embossed the honey comb chipboard and attached it around my photo.

I created a flower cluster around my photo and also heat embossed some postage stamp resins and tucked them under the flowers.

To finish off, I added some glitter to some of the flowers for extra sparkle and also sprinkled some stones over and around the flowers.

I hope you have all enjoyed seeing my creations for the Little Birdie Design Team over the past year, it was a pleasure working with this amazing team.

Moments Captured – Scrapbook Layout

Hey there crafty friends, welcome back to the Little Birdie blog where you have Melissa with you today, sharing a floral scrapbook layout.

I have used Little Birdie’s ‘Woodland Stories’ collection for this layout and found a photo that matched this collection perfectly (thanks to Pinterest).

I cut an angled green piece of card stock from the collection and attached it on the top of the main card stock piece using mounting tape to give it dimension. I then attached some lace underneath it.
I used another floral piece of card stock from the collection and cut it on an angle in the opposite direction to the green piece. I used mounting tape again to attach it for more dimension and also attached some lace underneath it, like the previous piece.

I foiled some brick shaped chipboard and attached them above and below my photo.

I arranged and attached some ephemera from the Woodland Collection, using mounting tape on some of them for height.

I then added some flowers to finish off the layout.

Thank you so much for looking, I really hope I have inspired you in some way. I will be back on the blog again very soon with some more crafty inspiration. Until then..happy crafting! 🙂

Be You – Scrapbook Layout

Hey there crafty people! Welcome back to the Little Birdie blog. Melissa here with you today sharing a layout with a little dark side to it for something different.

For this layout I used 3Quarter Designs’ ‘Mystic Prophecy’ card stock and added some black gesso stenciling to the background which I sprinkled glitter over while it was still wet, to make it sparkle.

I distressed the edges of the photo and did photo matting before attaching it with foam mounting tape to give it height.

I added some black lace trimming and heat embossed some chipboard cogs.

I then added some Little Birdie flowers, for which I tucked wood wool in between & added silver glitter paint to and then sprinkled some small art stones over and around them.

I hope you liked this grungy styled layout and it has inspired you in some way or another with your crafts too.

I will be back again very soon with some more crafty inspiration. Until then…happy crafting! 🙂
