Christmas Dove Card

Hello Little Birdie fans, thanks so much for stopping by and for the comments you leave both here, on the Blog and on Social Media – each one is read and greatly appreciated.  I am sharing another handmade Christmas card – we can never have too many made in advance. Join me and get some Christmas cards done that look fabulous using Little Birdie Crafts.  There are so many choices available and sometimes the hardest part is choosing what to use.

Colour the Chipboard Dove using medium of your choice. For this card I have used Alcohol Markers and only needed one layer.

NOTE:  More depth can be achieved by adding extra layers of colour – make sure to allow to dry between each layer.

Cut a card front measuring 14cm x 10cm from patterned paper. Secure the Dots Stencil onto the card front using repositional tape.  Apply Grainy Texture Paste using a spatula, randomly over the stencil – allow to dry.

NOTE: Wash the Stencil in warm soapy water straight away to clean it.

Glue the Chipboard Dove to the card front using Paper Crafting Glue, followed by a strip of Jute Trim Chevron across the lower portion of the card front.  Pop the card front into a slightly larger pre-cut card base using Foam Tape.

NOTE: Secure the ends of the Jute Trim Chevron behind the card front using Paper Crafting Glue.

Glue a Double Bow to the left side of the Jute Trim Chevton using Paper Crafting Glue ,  adding a recycled vintage button to the knot of the bow.  Cut a sentiment from the patterned paper, glue to slightly larger green card stock and adhere under the Jute Trim Chevron.

NOTE:  Many patterned papers have sentiments on them – these can be cut out and used as sentiments on your cards if you do not have a stamp for the occasion.
