Hello creative friends !
Eva here! Today we will be altering this easy and super cute box using my favourite collection Poppy’s & Roses. To start, you will need these alterable boxes. I have used the 4” size ones.

Start by priming the box using white Little Birdie gesso using a brush.
Since the Poppy’s and Roses pack comes with a coordinating decoupage sheet, I adhered them to the cover of my box using the Little Birdie Deco Magic glue and left them to dry naturally. I did the glossy finish for my cover.

Now comes my favourite part – Stencils. I used this geometric stencil and created textures on my box base using the Little Birdie 2 in 1 Mixed Media Paste. Gave it a red coat using acrylic paints but You can also go for the matte finished look using chalk paints.

Then to add more dimension and depth on the cover, I cut assorted sizes of rectangles using the Poppy’s and Roses paperpack and then started layering them.

To give the box more definition I used a lot of stone pellets, beads, flowers and other embellishments.

Here’s a close up of the different details of the box. Hope You enjoy creating these cute altered boxes.
