Make a Wish Interactive Birthday Card Tutorial

Hello, Friends!  Summertime is birthday time in our family.  We have 11 birthdays to celebrate before the end of August.  That’s a lot of card making!  To give myself a little head start, I pulled out some of my favorite Little Birdie Crafts papers, chipboard and flowers in soft summery colors.

I love the Pastel Palette range of colors for Summertime projects.  The vibrant golds, blues and pinks add so much life, texture and color to this 5″ x 7″ top fold card.  I’ve layered up 12×12 papers from the Texture Brew and True Love Story paper packs with a digital image and a die cut doily to create this card.

Do you see that sweet little burlap tag on the right hand side of the card?  That’s the interactive element in this card.  I built in a secret side pocket for the tag.

Isn’t it adorable?  The Corrugate Kraft Birthday Wishes Embellishment is a perfect match for the sentiment on the card.

I used another Corrugate Birthday Embellishment and this Shades of Brown Kraft Bag to dress up the little tea bag wallet that is tucked inside the card.

The honey stick is topped with ribbon and a darling Pastel Palette Bouquet.

Would you like to learn how to make this card?  Then just click on the video link below.  I’ll show you how to put the layers together, build the tag pocket, alter the chevron chipboard, make the little tag and arrange the flowers.  Let’s get our craft on.

Thanks so much for letting me share your day.  You’ll find a complete supply list below.
