Treasures of the Sea

Hello everyone!

Today I would like to show you how to alter a wooden box like a treasure chest. I used succulents, Crackled Paste, Stone Texture Paste and a lot of embellishments.

First at all I applied a coat of white gesso to the box.

Once dry, I applied Stone Texture Paste randomly with a spatula. I dried it with heat gun. Then I a gave a coat of Sand Paste with a brush, covering the entire surface.

Next, I applied Crackle Paste randomly all over the box to give it a worn out look.

When the paste dried, I decorate the box with all the embellishments. I stuck them with gel medium.

I put the flowers to see the arrangement but I did not stick them at this point, as I did not want to colour them. They look beautiful as they are!

To finish , I sprayed colours and applied some wax to add a hint of brightness to the project. Then I stuck the flowers.

Here are some closeups of the box.
